Cookie Policy
The cookies and browser storage used by NotePetal.
Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small values stored in your browser and sent with later requests. NotePetal also uses browser session storage to support the editor. This policy covers notepetal.com; providers such as Polar and Google have their own policies for their sites.
Sign-in and security
Supabase authentication cookies keep you signed in and refresh your session for protected pages and actions. Names depend on the configured Supabase project and may be split into chunks. Authentication flows can also use temporary values to verify a sign-in or recovery request. Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and network signals on enabled authentication forms to prevent automated abuse.
Notebook drafts and preferences
Browser session storage can hold your guest preview text, title, paper settings, and appearance under the key notepetal-guest-preview-v1, together with temporary editor state. Session storage normally lasts for the tab session. A pending uploaded file is passed between screens in memory rather than saved to browser storage. Clearing storage may remove an unsaved draft.
Analytics and advertising
The current NotePetal website does not load optional analytics or advertising trackers. We do not use browser storage for cross-site advertising. If optional tracking is added, this policy and the applicable consent controls will be updated before it starts.
Your controls
You can inspect, delete, or block cookies and site storage in your browser. Blocking authentication cookies or security checks can stop sign-in, account management, and billing access from working. Necessary storage used to provide a requested feature does not have a separate optional analytics setting. See the Privacy Policy and Subprocessors page for related processing.
